Metalworking

Metal fabrication demands abrasives that can handle everything from heavy stock removal to a mirror finish — often on the same piece. Uneeda's coated abrasives are built for the full range of metalworking tasks, whether you're grinding welds on carbon steel, blending stainless, or polishing brass and aluminum to a high shine.

Built for Every Stage of the Job

From rough grinding to final finish, metal fabricators need abrasives that perform consistently as the job changes:

  • Stock Removal & Weld Blending: Our wide and narrow belts are built to cut fast and stay sharp through heavy material removal, deburring, and weld grinding — without excess heat buildup that can warp or discolor your workpiece.
  • Surface Prep & Finishing: Sanding discs and sheets step down grit progressively, giving fabricators a clean, uniform scratch pattern before moving to polish.
  • Final Polish: Abrasive sponges and pads deliver a smooth, consistent finish on stainless, aluminum, and brass — ideal for visible surfaces where appearance matters as much as function.

Engineered for Demanding Metals

Different metals put different demands on an abrasive. Stainless steel needs a product that won't load up or overheat the surface. Aluminum and other non-ferrous metals are prone to clogging and require abrasives designed to resist loading. Uneeda's metalworking line is formulated to hold up across these materials, so you get a consistent cut and finish without constantly swapping products mid-job.
